ThaiMate Privacy Policy

ThaiMate ("the Service") is a neighborhood-based community and marketplace app for the Korean expat and local community in Thailand. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use and protect it.

1. Information We Collect

• Account: email, name, and profile photo (if provided) via Google or LINE social login
• Profile: nickname, your neighborhood (area), golf handicap and other optional details you enter
• Content: posts (marketplace, giveaways, jobs, news, notices), shop/listing info, 1:1 chat messages, uploaded photos
• Notifications: push subscription token (if you enable push)
• Location: only the neighborhood/area you manually select. We do not collect precise GPS location.
• Automatic: minimal access/error logs needed to operate the Service

2. How We Use It

• Account identification and keeping you signed in
• Providing neighborhood-based trade, jobs, community and golf features
• 1:1 chat and notifications
• Operating, improving and protecting the Service from abuse

3. Processors & Third Parties

• Supabase — database, authentication, file (photo) storage hosting
• Google / LINE — social login authentication
• Browser / OS push services — delivering push notifications

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or sale.

4. Retention & Deletion

• When you delete your account or request deletion, we delete your personal data and content without undue delay (except where law requires retention).

5. Your Rights

You may access, correct or delete your information at any time via in-app settings or the email above.

6. Children

The Service is intended for users aged 14 and older and is not directed to children.

7. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. However, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure.

If this policy changes, we will post updates on this page.
